How it works

The Pula Pitch journey

The show is structured in several key phases to ensure a rigorous selection process and maintain audience engagement throughout the season.

  1. Call for applications

    Print and social media campaigns invite entrepreneurs from across Botswana — building a diverse and competitive applicant pool.

  2. Initial vetting

    Applications are reviewed by our panel and narrowed to 15 candidates based on business idea viability and innovation.

  3. Second round

    The top 15 are evaluated on their pitches and reduced to 12 finalists.

  4. Third round

    12 finalists face a structured challenge and are narrowed to 9.

  5. Fourth round

    9 finalists tackle another challenge designed to test execution and adaptability. Six advance.

  6. Final challenge

    The top 4 finalists earn their place at the grand event.

  7. Grand event

    The top 4 finalists pitch at an exclusive, invite-only gala. A secret judge panel selects the winner — who receives P250,000 in funding, entry into an elite business incubation program, for a percentage of equity.
